Cardinal Carving by Allen Aardsma
This stunning basswood carving of a male Cardinal was made by a local artist entirely by hand with a Buck 307 jackknife and a Warren knife. This carving was hand-painted to replicate the beautiful pattern on a male Cardinal. Its legs and feet are made of various gauges of wire. A coat of spray fixative has been applied to seal the surface of the carving in order to keep dust and moisture out.
Allen Aardsma is a local artist from the Adirondacks specializing in realistic pocket knife carvings.
